“It is the position of the American Dietetic Association that appropriately planned vegetarian diets, including total vegetarian or vegan diets, are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. Well-planned vegetarian diets are appropriate for individuals during all stages of the life cycle, including pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood, and adolescence, and for athletes.” –

  1. GUYS I wanna clarify one thing that I don’t think I stressed enough. I don’t want to make it seem like veganism is perfect and beautiful and nothing can ever go wrong. I also don’t want to make it seem like i’m downplaying the health problems people are having. The problem I have is when vegan “diets” get painted with the same brush as if veganism is just one diet. IT’S NOT A DIET. it’s simply the practice of eliminating animal products & exploitation as much as you possibly can.

According to the American Dietetic Association (linked at the end), a PROPERLY PLANNED vegan diet is nutritionally adequate and healthy for all stages of life. OF COURSE if you don’t follow a proper diet, you’re going to have nutritional deficiencies. WHETHER OR NOT you are vegan. If someone eats nothing but bacon and pancakes every day and has nutritional deficiencies and problems, would people blame the “omnivorous diet”? NO. Just like omnivorous diets are not all created equal, all VEGAN DIETS ARE ALSO NOT CREATED EQUAL. But people automatically jump to the conclusion that vegan diets are inadequate just because someone that just happened to call themselves vegan decided to follow a restrictive diet. Restrictive diets and veganism ARE NOT THE SAME.

I can call myself a vegan eating instant noodles all day long. I can call myself a vegan and drink nothing but green juice. I can call myself a vegan and eat peanut butter & jelly sandwiches all day. None of these have ANYTHING TO DO with VEGANISM.

all of this being said, let’s still practice compassion & empathy for our fellow humans instead of assuming the worst and going on a witch hunt.

    1. Huh, couldn’t respond back as soon as I said I was an ex vegan? You are fully indoctrinated. Glad business is going so well for you.

    2. Perfect testament to choosing veganism or plant based choices without condemning those that choose otherwise. This is how we win the long term with getting folks to choose a more ethical and healthier lifestyle! Thank you! Awesome. 😊😊😊

    3. Well said and thanks for having the courage and assertiveness to share the truth. Love your videos BTW. I support whatever you do!

  2. I love your intro compassion for all! We never went vegan for health either. “People that went vegan for health are looking for some sort of perfection” BANG!!! Vegan for Everything ~ keeping it kind ~ and thanks for bringing us the BEST version of you!! You Rock it!!

  3. I think you had a really great message in this video! However I would encourage you to visit your local accredited zoo because zoos save animals! They provide the animals they care for with a great life and actively support conservation efforts around the world! You can learn more and find a zoo near you at aza.org!
