RECIPE
1/2 cup organic powdered sugar
1/3 cup vegan margarine
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Red food coloring

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. To a bowl, add powdered sugar, vegan margarine, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract. Stir well. Add flour, and salt. Stir until a smooth dough forms. Divide the dough into two equal pieces, and place one of them in another bowl. Add red food coloring to one of the pieces, and work in until the dough is evenly colored. Divide each ball into 12 equal pieces—so that you have 12 red, and 12 white. To shape each cookie: roll a piece of red dough into a long rope. Do the same with a piece of white dough. Twist them together, and roll a little so they are stuck together. Then roll up into a spiral, press to flatten, and place on a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Repeat with the rest of the dough. Bake 10-12 minutes. Makes one dozen cookies.

If you make this, or any of my other recipes, I’d love it if you shared a photo of it with me on Instagram!

  1. I’m pretty disappointed that most of your new recipes are not gluten free anymore. I miss those days when everything was gluten free on your channel.

    1. +Mordacsargi Gulubánc I’m sorry. Thanks for the feedback though, maybe I can try to include more gluten-free recipes again in the future.

    2. Really? Personally, you were my favorite and most reliable vegan and gluten free channel and it was kinda sad seeing all these new and awesome, but floury recipes. Allergy sucks, man.

    3. I’m so sorry– at least there are over three hundred gluten-free recipes still on my channel though, right? Also, you are the first person to say anything about this. I was starting to wonder if anyone wanted gluten-free anymore.
