  1. Thank you for being a realistic and reasonable vegan 🙌🏼
No need to denounce your vegan status if someone offers you a mint that has gelatin in it and you take it. Lol

Have you read “Free Will” by Sam Harris? He dissects the idea of free will and how we don’t really have any control (we have the illusion of control, but we did not choose our genetics or our environment). It’s a short read and very interesting!

  2. I went vegan overnight, but I didn’t have a hectic lifestyle and I was used to eating a lot of non-animal items. I can see that someone with a more hectic lifestyle might want to eliminate foods over time.

  3. I posted that I found the Beyond Meat Burgers in Calgary. All of my non-vegan friends were like “we want to try this.” There is hope. Most people are not supportive, so that reaction really surprised me. And some other friends suggested an outing to Ten Foot Henry because they realized the vegan dishes there were good. I’m so happy with the shift. Also I SO agree with transitioning. I did it over a very long time. I became vegetarian first, and was vegetarian for a long time. Even that was gradual, one meat at a time. And then finally I decided to go vegan, but tried not to beat myself up if I slipped. Now I’m used to it, and it’s so easy now with all the great foods out there. Cold turkey, I would have failed. Great video. <3

  4. Almost everyone agrees they should do it or should cut back on meat or animal product or animal processed foods. But like no one will do it. Some of my friends say they’d rather be fat and have atherosclerosis. Lol or I know people who are 100% meat based. >.>

  5. Due to several wicked bad food intolerances and gastric issues were the main reasons why I went completely plant based. But some other contributing factors was genuinely feeling bad about what harm I was causing to something innocent who was just borough into this world only to die..Which is why I was vegetarian for over 14 years, on top of some messed up stuff my father said to me as a kid, which still sticks with me to this day and not in a good way either.
The only reason why I don’t always don the vegan label is because I am still using my down filled comforter, wearing my L.L. Bean boots and fuzzy lined hat because they’re still serving a purpose and not worth for me to create unnecessary waste and a bigger demand for a vegan alternative, and I still am working through my stockpile of beeswax chapsticks. I am on the fence about honey and beeswax based products. Since I am in full support of helping create better spaces for pollinators in general, and don’t feel guilty about supporting either a relative or my friends mother in law up the road from me, when I do know first-hand what happens to them and their whole process. Even though I am allergic to bees, I am strongly considered getting into keeping our own, just to help with our little homestead our back.

Also, thanks for doing this, since it is nice to hear more people talking about this!
