in the mood for noodz
Canada rocks!! ❤️🇨🇦❤️
I have a friend who felt similarly to you in elementary school but also very different. Her parents and older siblings are all 100% Korean. They were born there but she was born here in the US. Her siblings and parents have Korean names while she has an “American” name. She told me she was embarrassed when she brought Korean food for lunch as a kid and hated speaking Korean at home. She wanted to be strictly American. But she became super proud of her heritage as a teen. She introduced me to Korean food. My other friends and I would beg her to ask mom to pack extra food she made because it was so different and good! I’m happy she’s proud of who she is and happy you are too! Diversity is what makes the US and Canada such amazing countries!
Wait .. Vegan?
ROSE! Have you watched Kim’s Convenience? It’s on Netflix in the States and I’m OBSESSED! I think it’s such a genuine portrayal of the Korean-American/Canadian experience. You should check it out if you haven’t! 🙂
I’m in the mood for noodz 😂
