Alright, I get it, this seems like a weird mashup but I’m fairly certain your tastebuds will be pleased. These peanut ginger sesame cookies from the Veganomicon are delightfully unique, and perfect to end any Asian meal.

Peanut Ginger Sesame Cookies:
2 1/4 cups flour, either all purpose, whole wheat pastry, white whole wheat, or combination
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup non-hydrogenated vegan shortening, softened
1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
1/4 cup brown rice syrup
1 1/4 cups sugar, plus additional sugar for rolling
1/2 cup soy milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
5 oz. candied ginger, diced finely
1/3 cup each white sesame seeds and black sesame seeds, or 2/3 of just one kind

  1. I missed your videos! I noticed the other day that I now put on my oven mitt dramatically and then pause, ha-ha, so I must have been expecting a fresh upload! The cookies _do_ look unusual, and a nice change from regular peanut butter cookies. Thanks For Posting : )
