recipe:

3 small-med. potatoes
seaweed to taste
1 can green jackfruit
hot pepper to taste
pulled mushroom stems
1 onion diced
1 tbsp. old bay
seasoning
3 tbsp olive oil
(in-all)
small handful parsley
zest of one lemon
juice of 1/2 lemon
3 tbsp. maseca corn
flour

breading
panko + bread crumbs
with dry thyme

a paste using
using 3 tbsp. maseca
corn flour and
V-milk

  1. Made this recipe today and just had it for supper. Very delicious. Made some substitutions, such as not using oil for frying and used regular flour because of not having any tortilla four. So we fried half of them in a skillet and the other half were baked. For us, the oven baked were crispier, which we liked better. Next time we’re going to try using less potatoes (maybe we used too many due to their small size it was hard to judge the correct amount). Anyway, this was our first attempt at making a fish-like dish. We enjoyed it and will be making it again. FYI – we finally purchased a potato mill similar to yours (without the squeaks hahaha) because when we made your shepherd’s pie, we could never get the potatoes as smooth and creamy as yours. When we made the pie again, using the new mill, the potatoes came out very similar to yours. Thanks again for another great recipe and continued success with the juicing fast.
