DOUGH RECIPE ( WITH CORRECTIONS ) 1/2 BATCH RECIPE

1 CUP ( PLUS ) UNBLEACHED FLOUR
1 1/4 TEASP. QUICK RISE YEAST
2 TBSP. OLIVE OIL
1/2 TEASP. SALT
1 TEASP. MAPLE SYRUP
3/4 CUP ( PLUS) WARM WATER

SPLIT PEA SOUP

31/2 CUPS OF SPLIT PEAS
SEITAN BROTH
WATER
SALT TO TASTE
BLACK PEPPER TO TASTE
LIQUID SMOKE ( MESQUITE )
1 TBSP. MAPLE SYRUP
1 /2 CUPS RED LENTILS

    PIZZA FRITTA- PIZZ’ONTE –

    DOUGH RECIPE ( WITH CORRECTIONS ) 1/2 BATCH RECIPE

    1 cup ( +) unbleached flour
    1 1/4 tsp. quick rise yeast
    2 Tbl. olive oil
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. maple syrup
    3/4 cup ( +) warm water

    1. In medium bowl add flour, yeast, salt, maple syrup, warm water and mix well.
    2. Remove from bowl to floured board and knead dough to soft consistency. Adding flour as needed.
    3. Form dough into a ball , cut into six pieces and roll into balls
    4. Cover with clean tea towel and allow dough balls to rest in warm area to allow dough to rise double in size
    5. On board floured with corn meal, stretch ball into round shape to desired thickness
    6. Prick shaped Pizza shape with fork (this prevents dough from over-puffing during frying
    7. Fry dough in pan with heated oil. Dough can be shallow or deep fried
    8. Can be served with smoked salt, or sauce or desired topping.

  2. I’m Dutch and went vegan recently. Was looking for a veganized version of what we call “erwtensoep” or split pea soup. Thank you thank you!
    In the Dutch version diced carrot, sliced leek, celeriac, potato and parsley are added. I’ll combine the versions and I’m curious how it’ll turn out. Yum!
