Ingredients:

Pie Crust –
2 cups whole spelt flour
A pinch of salt
1/2 tsp aluminium free baking powder
1/2 cup coconut oil (In room temperature)
1/2 tsp vanila extract
3 tbsp ice cold water
1 tbsp pure maple syrup

Date, Coconut & Tahini filling –
10 pitted Medjool dates
1/2 unsweetened desiccated coconut
2 tbsp whole sesame seed tahini

  1. Yay! I’m not Jewish, but I grew up in a Jewish neighbourhood in Canada and I remember these cookies in the bakery coming out this time of the year.  I loved them!  I remember there being walnut and poppyseed fillings to choose from.
