    1. lol, no shit. Frosting isnt supposed to be good for you, its supposed to just taste good. If it is non vegan, its a shit ton of butter and sugar 🙂

  1. The thing that bothers me most about vegan is that plants are alive too. So if your choice of vegan is to honor life you’re doing it wrong.

    1. plants react to stimuli, yes, but they aren’t sentient beings. veganism is for the ethical treatment of sentient beings. plants react in the same matter regardless of the scenario (for example, facing the sun or constricting leaves when touched), animals have a conscious perception and can react with different behaviours/responses. i used ‘desperate’ to describe the animals wish to live because they show it by restraining, expressing distress and trying to escape slaughterhouses.

    2. That’s not entirely even true. What the fuck? Plants release various chemicals and have a unique cell type that they’re made out of. This leads to knowing when it is touched etc. “Animals are conscious beings that feel desperation to live just like humans do.” I’ll take 1000 for shit that doesn’t happen alex. Desperate is just a loaded emotional term much like suffer and sentiences without knowing much of what it means. You don’t define sentiences by simple ability to visibly demonstrate pain. It’s about your ability of displaying higher levels con cognition, much that animals are incapable of doing because they’re inferior. How can you champion these causes when you have bigger issues at hand?

    3. kd1s if u want a genuine answer- veganism isn’t about ‘honouring life’ it’s about ethical treatment of animals! plants aren’t sentient beings, they have no innate emotional inclination to avoid death and have no nervous system to feel pain. whereas animals are conscious beings that feel desperation to live just like humans do.
