We had so much fun with Whisk Bakery when they joined us in the Holstein Kitchen to whip up a delicious vegan chocolate cake made in just minutes in the Holstein Pound Cake Maker.

The recipe below yields 4 cakes!!

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup coconut oil, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 cup almond milk at room temperature

Steps:
Begin by pre-heating your Holstein Pound Cake Maker. Tip: coat the non-stick with a touch of non-stick cooking spray.
In a mixing bowl mix together your almond milk and vinegar, then set it aside.
In another bowl combine your dry ingredients & then add the melted coconut oil milk mixture and vanilla extract
Whisk together until smooth.
Then pour the batter into your Holstein Pound Cake Maker and bake for 12 minutes. Tip: you know the cake is done baking when it no longer looks shinny.
Once the cake is done baking be sure to remove them using an non-abrasive spatula and allow them to cool completely before decorating.
