HOW TO MAKE VEGAN THAI TEA

LAY HO MA everyone! One of my all time favourite drinks is the delicious Thai tea. Join me in this episode on how to make vegan Thai tea. This Thai tea recipe is easy, flavourful, and its vegan. Pair this my other Vietnamese and Thai recipes!

Ingredients:
– 1 stick cinnamon
– 1/2 tbsp cloves
– 2 pieces star anise
– 2 tbsp black tea leaves
– 1 tbsp cane sugar
– 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 cup water
– 1 cup almond or coconut milk
– ice cubes

Directions:
1. toast the dry ingredients in a medium hot pan (about 3min)
2. add your water and vanilla extract
3. strain out the tea leaves with a sieve
4. in your cup, add ice cubes, tea, and milk

  3. That looks really good!! And it’s annoyingly difficult to find vegan Thai tea in restaurants!
    But most Thai tea recipes I’ve seen mention using Thai red tea, is what you’re doing to the black tea here how red tea is normally made? Or is it a different kind of tea to begin with?

    1. Weebhut Jr hmm I’m not sure I’ve not heard of red tea before, sounds really interesting tho! I’ve always made this with strong black tea. I was recently in Korea and they had a lot of flavoured milk teas mmmmmm stay tuned for those coming up in new episodes 😉 hehe
