Easter Basket Cake recipe
Preheat oven to 350
Grease two 9 inch pans for a 2 layer cake, or
1 pan, and 12 muffin cups
MIX TOGETHER:
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
Add:
1.5 cups water or milk
4 tablespoons cooking oil
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix together. Add 1/2 cup coconut if desired.
Pour into cake pan, bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit
until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
(cupcakes approx. 15 minutes
Cake approx. 35 – 40 minutes
When cooled, frost with butter cream icing,
Press pretzels around the sides of the cake, spread coconut on top,
Arrange small candy eggs in the center.
