I remember you saying WHY you stopped eating animal products, (because Erika was deeply bothered by what animals went thru) but I was wondering if you could share HOW you started. Did you start by being vegetarian first, or did you jump right in and go vegan right away. What were some of the first things you made, did you ever have any flops, or funny stories of recipes along the way, that you care to share with us? This pizza looks delicious!!
Connie’s RAWsome kitchen …..I remember that video, I was very touched by it….I was just wondering, in the days following, what were you cooking, because there weren’t as many resources for recipes, for v cheeses, and v meats etc…just wondering how you got “your feet wet” with ideas for recipes….

The black charcoal makes it look so good! I’m a big fan of all your recipes.
But from what I’ve heard black charcoal not only binds to toxins and such in the body but also to essential minerals and vitamins… so it has the potential to make that pizza actually less nutritious than it is. And that would be a damn shame because this a damn fine pizza! I’d suggest doing it without it if you are on your own haha…. I’d only use it if I am entertaining guests and want that pizzazz!
I don’t take supplements or meds so it’s actually a benefit when u want a little detox in ur life 🙂 But yes u don’t have to have it often but what a great dish to entertain ur friends 😀 Charcoal won’t remove nutrents from food only if it something u take internal like pill forms
