What we throw out goes back into our food supply. Everything runs in a cycle and mindless consumption is corrupting that cycle. This is not just an environmental issue, it’s a YOU issue. The average American is expected to throw away 90,000 pounds of trash in their lifetime.

  1. Gum is plastic? I didn’t know that… Why are people ok with chewing plastic? That sounds so weird. I have to look into that. Also, traditional Altoids aren’t vegan! Not even vegetarian! They have gelatin! We somewhat recently bought some Altoids and didn’t check the ingredients because we would never think mints would have animal products. We were unhappy to find out after the fact that we had ingested pig sinew …IN A MINT. WTF. The things they find to put animal products in 😔. After that I read ingredients even in mints and we found that some gum have gelatin in them too.

  2. These videos are amazing and so helpful! The topics you talk about make me more aware of the environment and how I can keep learning to do my part more efficiently and consistent! I’d love to see maybe a beauty day/night routine (face products, advice, recommendations) self care routine (beauty products, clothing organization, vitamins) or how you battle colds or illness when you feel it coming on (fighting sickness) – natural/vegan style!

  3. Bonus Item: Replace things in your life with sustainable alternatives _when you need new ones._ Don’t throw away perfectly good food containers or cleaning products just to have new things. Getting the most mileage out of what you already have is a great environmental choice too.

  4. The brush part on the bamboo toothbrushes are still plastic, at least the ones I’ve seen here, so remember to pull it out before composting! 😀
