Today on The Edgy Veg we’re going on a trip! I have teamed up with Almond Breeze, who has sponsored this video, and they are sending me on a trip to Sacramento to see where their almond beverage comes from! I am also going to show you how to make one of my favourite vegan brunch desserts- an Ice Cream Chocolate Almond Float!

I am so excited to show you all the cool stuff I learned about almond farming and show you what I ate while I was there. Stay tuned to the end of the video where I show you how to use almond beverage to make one of my go-to brunch desserts!
Blue Diamond Growers is a cooperative that’s been around for over one hundred years. That’s a long time! So you can trust that they know the almond business. Blue Diamond Growers was founded in 1910 in Sacramento, California and are the largest almond processor in the world. The 3,000+ almond growers range from first-to-fourth-generation almond-growing families. When the California almond orchards bloom, more than a million colonies of honey bees are placed in the orchards to pollinate the crop. Since I live in the city, it’s easy to forget how much work goes into growing the food that we buy! I loved seeing where almonds come from, and definitely have a greater appreciation for farmers.
When I was growing up in Germany, my favourite thing to order at a cafe with my mom was this drink called Ice Cream Chocolate. It’s pretty much ice cold chocolate milk with a scoop of ice cream and a dollop of whipped cream. It’s one of my favorite things to serve up at brunch and stupid easy to make. Make sure to check out Friday’s video where I show you how to cook with Almond Breeze! Thanks for watching!

Winged eyeliner on point!
I never knew that almonds came from trees either. I mostly put almond milk in my coffee. I think the almond taste compliments the taste of the coffee better than dairy milk. 🤗☕
Great Video ! There food looked good ! The trees are so pretty.
Almond Breeze is actually my favorite almond milk by far!
Awesome video! Almond breeze is the only milk I drink 💚
The coolest fact I learned was that Almond Breeze was founded in Sacramento!! I’ve lived there for 24 years now and never knew that 🙀 I also learned that I need to buy that chocolate almond milk and make an ice cream float haha
Ha! What are the chances you were here when we had a freak snow/hail day?!
