Vegan Mukbang | OUR BIG ANNOUNCEMENT | The Edgy Veg

For those of you that don’t know a Mukbang is an online broadcast where the host or hosts eat dinner while interacting with the audience. Today’s Edgy Veg video is an extra special Mukbang where James and Candice make an epic announcement.

One year ago almost to the day while watching the sunset fade at Burning Man James proposed to Candice, who of course said yes. This Mukbang is the anniversary of that special moment they shared.

Like most tales of engagement this one has a back story. When James made the bold decision to ask Candice to marry him he wanted to make sure he picked the exact right time to ask, and also had the perfect ring for the occasion. He found out that Candice’s grandfather was in fact a jeweler. Through Candice’s relatives he was able to contact her grandfather, who he had never met, and asked him if it would be possible to design a ring for him so he could propose to Candice at Burning Man.

He cunningly convinced Candice’s Aunt to whisk her away for the day while he and her Grandfather designed the ring. Amazingly, Candice had no idea what James was up to and the ring design was under way. James got the flights to burning man, tickets to the playa, invited all their friends, and of course secured the ring.

He had in his mind decided that the best possible time to propose would be as the burning man was being lit. As they began their travels through burning man, meeting a wide variety of people, he shared his plan with a few of them. One of them told him that was an absolutely terrible idea. There will be crowds of people, the giant burning man will be a huge distraction and it would really take away from the moment. He suggested the James do it a few hours before right as the sun was setting when there weren’t throngs of people gathered around.

At this point Candice still had no idea James was about to pop the question. He suggested to her that they go take pictures by the giant wooden man that would be burning brightly later, which she happily agreed to. They biked out to where the huge wooden man was and there was a beautiful sunset, it was quiet, there was only a handful of people around and James instantly knew this was his moment.

He grabbed Candice’s hand, looked deep into her eyes and said to her “Candice it’s been such a wonderful year together, it’s been such a wonderful week, such a great adventure that we’ve had…” and at that moment he reached down and pulled out the ring. Candice instantly burst into tears of overwhelming emotion, which of course started to gather a small crowd. He then said “Candice, stop, I haven’t even gotten down on my knee yet”. Then he got down on one knee presented the ring and said “Candice, I would love to spend the rest of our lives adventuring together”. She was ecstatic beyond measure and said “of course!”.

That is the tale of Candice and James’s engagement. When Candice found out that her Grandfather helped design the ring she was floored. James claims he knew right away, from the first night that he spent with Candice he wanted to marry her. Unlike many of the other girls he had dated he instantly felt like he was on the same wavelength with her, saying it truly felt different. He said it was like two puzzle pieces connecting together.

Candice apparently felt the same way, she says the reason she said yes was that she had so much fun with James she should keep him around forever.

All of this engagement talk led to talk of when the wedding was actually going to happen. This in turn led to the big announcement.

Next summer Candice and James will be having an all Vegan Wedding and will be filming the entire thing for your viewing pleasure. As they begin to plan the Vegan Wedding they encountered hurdle after hurdle and realized if they were having problems other people planning Vegan Weddings would be to.

To remedy this conundrum they are going to do a series about planning a Vegan Wedding step by step to ensure your Vegan Wedding goes off without a hitch. They are teaming up with other well known YouTubers to plan out the food, the cake, the decorations, the invites, even the party favors. They intend to leave no stone unturned in their quest to have a truly amazing Vegan Wedding and to help you do the same.
