LAY HO MA everyone! A friend of mine lives in Kyoto and upon visiting the Toronto area, brought me some Hojicha green tea leaves. Needless to say, I was hooked!! It has such a lovely toasted flavour with a subtle sweet note. Join me in this episode on how to make Vegan Hojicha Iced Tea (or iced latte).
Ingredients:
2 tbsp hojicha green tea leaves
1 tbsp cane sugar
1 cup hot water
2 to 3 ice cubes
1 cup coconut or almond milk
Directions:
1. Place your hojicha tea leaves in a bowl
2. Add the cane sugar and hot water
3. Stir and let steep for 3-5min
4. Place your ice cubes into your serving cup
5. Pour over the tea through a sieve
6. Add your preferred coconut or almond milk and stir

Hojicha tea is one of my favorite! Almost no theine on it. Good for health!
