RECIPE NOTE: I mean 2 tablespoons of cornflour or cornstarch NOT teaspoons. xoxo
I’m wearing Wheels & Dollbaby
It looks amazing! And I was so not expecting that way of making it, clever!
oh thanks! hope you like it xox
Thanks a lot! Question: if you want to use it for millionaires shortbread: thicken it with more cornstarch? Or with agar agar? The last: how? when?
+Pip I would dissolve it in a small amount in some water first and then add to coconut mix
Oh sorry, you already said it: 5 gr. Just like the powder or dissolved?
Thanks. And how much? And do you have to dissolve it first in water?
before you add the coconut milk to the hot toffee mix
Will using other milks just make it a bit thinner? I guess I’m wary of using coconut milk as every vegan thing seems to be coconut based and i’m a little over the flavour. How detectable is it in this recipe?
If you want to use other milks and just add extra cornflour or cornstarch to thicken it that would work too
Yes it will be slightly thinner but I think soy milk could work really well. I don’t notice the coconut at all but it depends on how sensitive you are to that flavour.
I have a caramel recipe i use almond milk tho and i deffo use cornstarch . But im interested in using yours as there no butter! Csn i use normal sugar in stead of dates?
Yes I just means that the caramel has a more ‘sugar’ flavour
I have a simple version of this recipe with even less ingredients here:
It’s an easy sauce to make!!
