Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was written by J.K. Rowling under the pseudonym of the fictitious author Newt Scamander and appears in the Harry Potter films as a textbook that is owned by Harry and written by magizoologist Newt Scamander.
Being a true fan of the Harry Potter series when Candice and James found out they were releasing a spin-off of the story called “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” they had a magical idea of their own.

Naturally Harry Potter fans worldwide are anxious to see the film as are Candice and James. They were so anxious in fact that they decided to make a parody of the trailer themselves with an interesting turn of events. Instead of fantastic beasts being released people are being magically turned into vegans. Candice appears in the trailer, in fine form, as a vegan witch complete with green glowing eyes.
This Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them parody trailer is not only extremely amusing but well filmed. This is not your typical run of the mill shot in your mom’s basement YouTube parody trailer. It also invites you to consider how the world truly perceives people who have chosen to walk the vegan path. There are multiple references to vegan stereotyping that can be seen throughout the trailer at different points. While it is a truly fantastical idea to think that magic could turn people into vegans it certainly isn’t a stretch to see that this trailer parody was written with a purpose.
Being a vegan doesn’t mean you have to stop eating everything that you love, or that you can’t go out to dinner with your friends. It is simply a matter of being consciously aware of what you put into your body and avoiding animal products all together. The vegan diet excludes meat, eggs, dairy products and all other animal-derived ingredients. Many vegans also do not eat foods that are processed using animal products, such as refined white sugar and even some wines.
For some of you that may seem like you’re giving up an awful lot of the things that you love. Well, thanks to the hard work of Candice and many other dedicated vegans out there bringing excellent recipes to YouTube that are just as tasty as the original version you can have your cake and eat it too.
There are also some benefits to being vegan that you may not have considered. Being vegan reduces the risk of death from Type 2 Diabetes, Cardiovascular disease, Ischemic heart disease, obesity, hypertension, stroke, and even certain types of cancer. Vegan diets often rely primarily on healthy staples that tend to be higher in vitamins, minerals, fiber, and phytochemicals. Healthy vegan diets are low in cholesterol and saturated fats and loaded with vitamins like C, B1, and E as well as magnesium, folic acid, and iron.
We hope you enjoyed watching this trailer as much as Candice and James enjoyed making it. We also hope you realize that it doesn’t take magic to be a vegan, just a little determination. The pros far outweigh the cons.
