  1. Hey Gretchen, what kind of shortening do you use for the your vegan baking?
    Just regular shortening or the hi-ratio stuff? Also, how different is the
    taste of these cookies from regular sugar cookies? I was thinking of having
    a cookie decorating party in my class next week for Halloween, and thought
    I might try and sneak these in as the base if they are kid friendly.

    1. I use sweetex hi ratio shortening. I was really surprised at the “buttery”
      taste of these cookies! It was shocking! They were so good! I ate way too
      many and I dont normally eat heavy sugared cookies like these!
