…. This is a very easy and quick vegan and wheat free pizza base recipe, it is my go to recipe when I am making a pizza I know I will love ❤︎
INGREDIENTS you will need ~
➳ GRAM FLOUR ~ made from split peas and chickpeas
➳ SEASONING ~ salt, pepper, herbs
➳ WATER
➳ and OIL for frying

✮ For the consistency I make the batter quite thick, I found when I tried it with thinner batter it didn’t hold together so well and it didn’t fry as good
☽ I add quite a lot of oil in the pan when frying, my non stick pan doesn’t live up to that to well, adding a little oil quickly gets soaked up into the pizza base, so frying it in a lot of oil I feel it works the best
✮ Cooking time is around 5 minutes of frying, then around 10 minutes on a high heat when cooking in the oven
☽ I add a good amount of seasoning, my Himalayan salt and pepper, then I used a mixture of rosemary, oregano and basil. I find putting the herbs into the mixture at the same time as I put the seasoning in just easier to remember to put them all in then, so I don’t have to add them when I add the tomato paste afterwards, and it really brings out the flavour into the pizza base when frying it
